The little son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Shetterly of Fort Morgan, died at the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Addie Shetterly, in Peru Saturday. The family came here for a visit with relatives, and the babe became ill, and gradually grew worse until the end. The funeral was held Sunday from the home of its grandmother Shetterly, and the little form was laid beside his brother in the Peru Cemetery.

The sympathy of all goes out to these young parents, who will soon return to their home in the West, taking, with them aching hearts and leaving the precious little bud behind, but trusting in Him who doeth all things well, to bind up the breaking hearts. Below is the obituary as read at the funeral:

David Hugh, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Shetterly, was born at Fort Morgan, Colorado, May 11th, 1917, and died at the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Addie Shetterly, at East Peru, Iowa, Aug. 17, 1918, at the age of 1 year and 3 months and 6 days. He will rest by the side of a brother who died in infancy.

Baby David is survived by his parents and a brother Richard, three grandparents and numerous other relatives.

He was loved by every one who knew him, for his sunny smile and lovely disposition.

Precious David, our hearts miss you so, but we are glad that you are safe from life’s storms.
