Joyce A. Pingel, 74, of Winterset, formerly of Alden, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at the Bright Kavanagh House in Des Moines. Memorial services will be 2 PM Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls with burial in the Alden Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls.
Joyce was born March 5, 1940 to Laura and Alfred Rush in Iowa Falls, IA. She married Marvin Pingel May 15th, 1960 at the Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, IA. They made their home on the family farm near Alden. Joyce devoted her life to the care of her family. Joyce enjoyed going to church, dancing, singing and playing BINGO.
She is survived by her two children Brad (Joyce) Pingel and Joy (Brad) Hesse and her six grandchildren Marcus, Chad, Eric, Emma, Hannah and Haley.
She was preceded in death by her son Michael and husband Marvin.
