Last week, Mr. W. S. Habenicht and family received word of the death of the father, C. F. Habenicht of Colfax, of inflammation of the kidneys. Habenicht was for six years a neighbor just south of Jamaica and was known to many Perry people as a kind father with a true Christian character.

This is the first death in the family, and leaves a wife , six sons and two daughters to mourn the loss. His death occurred while he was in the hospital conducted by his son, Dr. Robt. Habenicht, of Colfax.

The funeral occurred Wednesday, conducted by Rev. L. F. Storrs of Stuart. He had resided for several years at Des Moines and attained the age of 65 years.
