LOGAN WALTZ, Winterset

Logan Waltz, 20, of Winterset died Sunday, May 4, 2014.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 8th at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset with burial to follow in the Moon Cemetery, rural Macksburg.

A visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 7th at Ochiltree Funeral Service with family present to receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Logan Michael Waltz was born in Des Moines, Iowa on September 29, 1993, the son of David and Debbie (Kiddoo) Waltz. He was a 2012 graduate of Winterset High School and most recently worked for Peru Quarry, Inc.

Logan was a people person who was very likable and could make everyone laugh. He was known for his wonderful smile, his orneriness and his willingness to help everyone he encountered. He enjoyed being outside every chance he could get, riding motorcycles and spending time with his many close friends. Recently, he greatly enjoyed the many hours he and a friend spent fixing up an old boat.

He is survived by his parents, David and Debbie of Winterset; an older brother, Tyler Waltz (Jenni Sutton) of Winterset; an older sister, Megan (Mike) Hanold of Creston; and a nephew, Travis Waltz of Des Moines. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Mari Silliman and her daughter, Jercie both of Winterset; and many cousins, aunts and uncles and a host of friends.
