John Kenoyer, 65 of Earlham died Thursday, April 9, 2014 at Mercy West Lakes. At his request, he has been cremated and no public visitation or services are planned.

John Lloyd Kenoyer passed away April 9, 2014 at Mercy Westlakes Hospital from Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome. He passed peacefully surrounded by his wife and daughters.

John was born March 11, 1949 in Des Moines to Harvey Franklin and Emma Alice (McClain) Kenoyer. He retired from United Brick & Tile in Adel. Among his many interests, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, reading, old cars and NASCAR. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sharon (Cotten); his three daughters, Jerri Levri, Cambridge; Jodi (Rob) Bedore, Ankeny; and Jami Kenoyer, Huxley; three brothers Henry (Norma) Kenoyer, Madrid; Bobby (Diane) Kenoyer, Maynard, AR and Ronny Kenoyer, Des Moines; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, in-laws, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Also his two four legged boys, Coal and Chance.

John was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bill and Terry, sisters Corrine, Mary and Wanda.

McCalley Funeral Home in Adel assisted the family with cremation services. A private interment will take place at Panther Creek Cemetery, Adel. Any memorial contibutions can be made directly to the family.

There will be a Celebration of Life for John Saturday, May 17th, 2014 at the American Legion in Adel from 12 - 3 p.m.
