August 13, 1940 - April 3, 2014Delores died Thursday, April 3, 2014. She was 73.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 8 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset with burial in the Winterset Cemetery.
A visitation with family present will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 7 at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset, with a Catholic Wake Service beginning at 7 p.m..
Memorials to the Arthritis Foundation and online condolences may be left for the family at ochiltree.com.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Callahan of Bloomington, MN; a sister, Darlene LaFratte of Prole; extended family and a host of friends.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents, John and Delpha (Garrison) King.

Delores Callahan, 73, of Bloomington, Minn., died Thursday, Apr. 3, 2014.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, Apr. 8, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset with burial in the Winterset Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Arthritis Foundation.
Delores Arlene King was born on Aug. 13, 1940, in Madison County near Prole, Iowa, to John and Delpha (Garrison) King. She graduated from Martensdale High School in 1959 and her marriage to James LeRoy Callahan took place on Nov. 18, 1961, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset. She worked most of her career as a secretary and while living in Texas one of her assignments was in White Sands, NM, where she performed clerical work for the Apollo Space Project. She retired in 2005 as a medical secretary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Delpha (Garrison) King.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Callahan of Bloomington, Minn.; a sister, Darlene LaFratte of Prole; extended family and a host of friends.
