James McLean died at his home in South township, Thursday night, May 18th, after a week’s illness. He was a man of about middle age and had been married about a year, and in company with his wife was farming on the old Queen place, when he was taken suddenly ill and the disease resulted in strangulation.

The funeral services were held Sunday at the home and the wife accompanied the remains to Missouri for burial.
