February 18, 1909Frantz William Brauer, son of Chas. and Augusta Brauer, was born Oct. 2, 1874, in Pappaw, Ill. He moved from this place in 1881 to Hardin county, Iowa, where he lived until last October.
In Sept. 1903, he was united in marriage to Pearl Hadley. Four years of this union was spent in Hubbard, Ia., where he and his wife took a very active part in the church work. One year was spent at Eldora, Ia., and since last October he with his family have been living here.
To this union three children have been born. His life has been an example of an active, conscientious Christian in the business world. He was a model husband and father and loved by all who knew him. He died Feb. 11, 1909, leaving a father, brother, wife and three children to abide their time to be called home to ever be with the departed loved one.
