Julia "Nanny" Kauffman, 76, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.
Nanny was born June 16, 1937 in Winterset, Iowa to Walter and Charlotte (Brittian) Ladd. She worked as an accounting clerk for the State of Iowa. Nanny collected angels, elephants and Precious Moments figurines and she loved to travel to New Mexico.
Nanny is survived by her children, Jerry (Barb) Kauffman, Julie (Jack) Steele, and Robert (Sherry) Russell; siblings, Phillip Ladd, Joan Ladd, and Donna Flinn; grandchildren, JK Cornelius, Gabe Kauffman, Jessica Steele, Zach Kauffman, and Chaise Russell; and great-grandchildren, Van, Luna, and Noah.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, her daughter, Joleen, and her grandson, Turbo.
Cremation has occurred and there will be no services held at this time.
