Mrs. Acheson, of Jackson township, a very old lady, fell suddenly dead at her home during the forenoon of Saturday the 13th inst. On Friday she walked about a mile was taked home in the evening. On Saturday morning she swept her house and went out to sweep a walk in front of the door. Her son, Wm. Acheson, was near at hand, hearing the broom hit the walk, turned just in time to see her fall backward to the ground. She breathed but three times after she fell. Mrs. Acheson makes the last of five old persons living within the limit of 3 miles in the west part of Douglas township and the east part of Jackson, who, during the past three years, died almost at a minute's notice: W. H. Bard, Wm. Anderson, Mrs. Curry, Frederic Klein and Mrs. Acheson.
