The eight weeks’ old baby of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hutchins that has been sick for some time, died Tuesday night. Interment being made in the cemetery at Chariton. Friends and neighbors extend their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved.

Mary Leora, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Hutchins, was born in St. Charles, Iowa, August 23, 1908 and died October 16th of the same year. Her death was caused by tuberculosis, of which she was afflicted from birth, and her short life was one of great suffering. The bereaved parents and friends are directed for comfort to the consoling promises of our Heavenly Father without whose tender notice even a sparrow doth not fall to the ground.

The funeral was held in the M.E. church at Lucas, Iowa, Rev. A. C. Heckathorn speaking words of comfort from 2nd Kings, 4:26 and the remains were laid to rest in the Chariton cemetery.
