Mrs. Hannah Armstrong, wife of J. L. Armstrong passed away Saturday, October 4, at her home in Stuart. Mr. Armstrong preceded her in death in 1912.

Mrs. Armstrong was eighty-three years old. A daughter Grace age 18 years and a son age 11 died of diphtheria when they lived in this vicinity 44 years ago.

Mrs. Armstrong and her daughter Grace joined Early Chapel church in 1897 and in 1912 she transferred her membership to Stuart where she remained a faithful member until her death.

Burial was made in the Jackson township cemetery northeast of Pitzer at three o’clock Monday afternoon.

She leaves several sons and daughters to mourn her loss.

The Armstrong’s when in this vicinity lived on the old Ed Lee place now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Clausen.
