Thursday, March 9, 1939Henry Allen Thrailkill, son of John Allen and Nancy Thrailkill was born in Keokuk county, Iowa, September 25, 1862 and passed peacefully away March 1st, 1939, aged 76 years, four months and four days. When but a mere boy he was bereft of his parents after which he grew to young manhood in the home of his uncle. He was faithful to his uncle and aunt as long as they lived, doing the farm work for them and giving the best of care.
He worked at different occupations making his home most of the time with his brother J. C. Thrailkill. When quite young he united with the Baptist church and lived a consistent Christian life through out the years of his life. He was honest and upright and believed in those things that are eternal. He not only read his Bible but lived his life, so that he leaves a Christian influence to follow him.
He leaves to mourn his departure two brothers, John A. Thrailkill of Lincoln, Nebraska, and J. C. Thrailkill of Dexter, two sisters Mrs. Jennie Williams and Mrs. Lucy Williams of Tipton, Iowa, with a host of other relatives and friends who will miss Uncle Henry as he was familiarly known.
