REBECCA NARRAMORE, WINTERSET

Rebecca (Becky) Weaver Narramore, 78, of Winterset, died Jan. 16, 2014, at West Bridge Care and Rehabilitation.

She was the sister of Barb McDonald of Winterset.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring.

Becky Narramore, 78, died Jan. 16, 2014, in Winterset at West Bridge Care and Rehabilitation due to complications of C.O.P.D.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held in Joplin, Mo., with her siblings present to receive friends Friday, Apr. 25, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Eagles Lodge (1321 South Main). A second Celebration of Life Gathering will be held in Winterset with her siblings present to receive friends, Monday, Apr. 28, from 2 to 4 p.m. at North Ward Plaza’s community room (415 N. 2nd St.).

Rebecca R. Weaver was born July 8, 1935 to Rex C. and Mary (Savage) Weaver in Adair County, Iowa. She attended country school and later graduated from Greenfield High School in 1953. After high school, she worked in Des Moines and while there met and married Allen L. Scheikofsky and to this union a son, Brent Allen was born. They later divorced and Becky headed south, ending up in Joplin. Becky worked and lived for nearly 50 years in Joplin and considered it her home. When the tornado of May 22, 2011, hit Joplin she lost her home, spending two days in the hospital. She then decided to move back to Iowa to be near her sister in Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, brother-in-law, Paul McDonald and a nephew Allen Duane Weaver.

She is survived by her son, Brent Scheikofsky of Sparks, NV; sister Barb McDonald of Winterset; brother, Alva Duane Weaver (Janice) of Las Vegas, NV; and many other family members and.
