Ovan Benedict, infant son of Melvin and Rosa Benedict, was born in Scott township, Madison county, Dec. 6, 1922 and died Jan. 31, 1923, aged 1 month and 25 days. He was never well and the care of family and friends failed to restore him to health. The little life passed on after being here only a few brief weeks, but in those weeks he had entwined himself around the hearts of those in the home, and he will ever remain a sweet memory in the lives of those who loved him.
