Beverly Laws, 88, died Thursday, January 30, 2014, at Winterset Care Center North in Winterset. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, at Iles-Westover Chapel in Des Moines. Private inurnment of the cremated remains will be at Masonic Cemetery in Des Moines at a later date.
Beverly was born October 15, 1925, in Detroit Michigan to Frank and Esther (Patton) Risher. She married William Laws on July 30, 1954. Beverly worked in the Research Department at the Des Moines Register, retiring in 1980. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
