MARVIN STOUT, Ames

Marvin A. Stout, 91, of Ames, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, at the home of his son in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. On Friday , Jan. 17, at Ebenezer United Methodist
Church, with Pastor Ben Mulford officiating. Interment will be at the Ebenezer Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the Ebenezer United Methodist Church.

He was born Aug. 6, 1922, in Winterset, the son of Clyde and Byrd Stout. He graduated from high school and then served in the United States Navy and is a veteran of the World War II. He worked at
Iowa State University as a printer and he also farmed. He was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and the VFW Post #6760.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Stout; his parents; a son, Matt Stout; and daughter, Susie Stout.

He is survived by three sons, Wayne Stout of Ames, Ted Stout of Des Moines and Bill (Flori) Stout of Winterset; three foster children; eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
