MARTHA JANEICE ARMES, WISCONSIN

Martha Janeice Armes, 66, of Edgerton, Wisc., died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, Wisc.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, at Newell Funeral Home in Waltonville, with Pastor Randy Sells officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Sesser. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time on Friday at Newell Funeral Home in Waltonville. Memorials may be given to the Jefferson County 4-H and will be accepted at the funeral home (505 E. Main St., Waltonville IL 62894).

Martha Janeice was born Dec. 9, 1946, in Waltonville, Ill., the daughter of Benedict and Margaret (Stelmaszewski) Gajewski. She married Roy Howard Armes on Oct. 21, 1966, in Hoopeston, Ill., and he survives in Edgerton, Wisc.

Janeice was a member of the Saint John’s Lutheran Church in Janesville, Wisc. She graduated from the Saint Elizabeth's School of Nursing in Danville Illinois in 1967. She worked as a Registered Nurse for 40 years. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Psi Sorority.

She was preceded in death by her parents ; brother, Theodore “Ted” Gajewski and a nephew, Brian Gajewski.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Armes of Edgerton, Wisc.; son, Chris Armes of Edgerton; daughter, Gretta (Chris Capaldo) Albrecht of Ames; brother, Richard (Carolyn) Gajewski of Richview, Ill.; two sisters, Joann (David) Berlin of Mesa, Ariz., and Caroline (Ted) Quinn of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and three grandchildren.
