Patterson Native Dies at 59 Years

Word has been received here of the death of LaVerne Pace, former Patterson resident, at his home in Fresno, California of a heart attack, January 9, 1970. Mr. Pace, who was 59 years of age, was born in Patterson, April 15, 1910, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles N. Pace. Following his graduation from the Patterson high school, he moved to Fresno, where he has since made his home.

He is survived by his wife, Alberta, their one son, Dr. Richard Pace of Fresno, and one brother, and three sisters, all of California: Willard Pace of Richmond, Mrs. Alberta Kolosik of Riverside, Mrs. Bernice Denny of Clovis and Mrs. Mary Wilson of Fresno. Three cousins of Mr. Pace reside in Madison county, Mrs. George Kinnard, Mrs. Harold Wagner and Mrs. A. E. Null. He was last in this area, in the summer of 1968.

The deceased had been connected with Standard Oil for 35 years, and had recently been employed by the Kerrick company of Fresno.
