Helena Bell died Sunday, November 10 at Bishop Drumm Care Center. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 14 at Bishop Drumm Chapel, 5837 Winwood Dr. Johnston, IA. A visitation will be at 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery, West Des Moines, IA.
Helena was born July 2, 1920 in Cumming, IA to Joseph and Ella Meade. She married Albert J. Bell on December 31, 1941.
She is survived by her son, Dennis (Mary); daughter, Karen Reilly (Patrick); son, James (Barbara); 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Father Denis Meade O.S.B. of Atchison, KS, and John Meade of Kansas City, MO. Helena was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert on November 30, 1992; sisters, Carmelita and Paula; and brother, Joseph.
