Mrs. Beulah Decker Hiatt died at her home in Monroe township on Monday afternoon, Aug. 21st. She has not been well for a time, but death came very quickly from acute appendicitis.
Funeral services were held at Peru today at the Methodist church, in charge of Rev. Shannon, local pastor.
Mrs. Hiatt, a daughter of James Decker, who lives near Peru, had lived in that neighborhood for the greater part of her life, with the exception of three years spent near Macksburg.
Mrs. Hiatt is survived by Mr. Hiatt and two children, the older one being not quite five years old. Her sudden death brings sorrow to the many relatives and friends of the family, to whom deep sympathy is offered by the home community.
