Page 1Death of Walter Stewart
Word was received here Wednesday of the death of Walter (Fuzz) Stewart at Albuquerque, N.M. Death was caused by typhoid fever, from which he had been suffering for two months. Mr. Stewart was a resident of Winterset for several years, coming here to work in a bakery and later entering the employ of the telephone company.
Mr. and Mrs. Stewart moved to Colorado in 1919 for the latter’s health and then to New Mexico in 1920. Mrs. Stewart was formerly Miss Vera Jones of Winterset. At Albuquerque, Mr. Stewart purchased an interest in a bakery and was just getting his business well established when he became ill. Since Mrs. Stewart’s health will not permit a trip to Iowa, the burial will be made at Albuquerque.
