Death of Raymond Ryan

After an illness of only a week, Raymond Ryan died Tuesday night, August 1st, at his home near Barney. He was stricken with pneumonia and his condition was serious from the beginning.

Ray Ryan, as he was generally called, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ryan of this city. He was born near Winterset 26 years ago and had spent his entire life in this vicinity, much of it being lived in Winterset. His marriage to Miss Fern Addy, daughter of Finley Addy, took place five years ago. She with two children survive him, as do his parents and a brother, Ernest. The sudden death of this young man has brought deep grief to his relatives and their wide circle of acquaintances.
