Betty Louise Edgington, 83, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 1, 2012, after struggling with complications from illness.

A visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at Memorial Services of Iowa funeral home (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd.). Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, September 6, 2012, also at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Ankeny Memorial Gardens.

She is survived by her two sons; Steven Edgington (Theresa) of Phoenix Arizona, and Jeffery Edgington (Patricia) of Cambridge, Iowa, her five sisters; Josie Cramer (Al), Lois Sawhill (Wayne), Darlene Hildreth (Billy Joe), and Marilyn Hutton (Mike), her five grandchildren; Blake Edgington (Anita), Shane Edgington , Cale Edgington, Nicholas Edgington, and Caitlyn Clark (Austin), and her two great grandchildren; Jersey and Greyden.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Claire, brothers; Wayne and Garland Ackelson, and her parents.
