The body of Arthur Roy Ogburn of Newton, was brought here for burial Thursday. He was born July 29, 1873 and died Feb. 8, 1921, at the age of 47 years, 6 months and 10 days. He was the youngest son of Wm. and Annis Ogburn.
He was united in marriage to Miss Harriet Fowels, Dec. 12, 1903. He graduated from Humboldt college in 1901 and was a pattern maker by trade.
Those left to mourn his loss are: wife, mother, two brothers, one sister, and two half-brothers.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. L. B. Shannon. Interment was in King cemetery.

Arthur Ray Ogburn, youngest son of William and Annis Ogburn, was born July 29, 1873 in Madison county, near Peru, Iowa. He departed this life at Des Moines, Iowa, Feb 8, 1921, at the age of 47 years, 6 months and 10 days.
He was married to Harriet Fowles on December 12, 1903. He was a graduate of Humboldt college, graduating in 1901. He was a master mechanic and pattern maker by trade. He had the disposition that gave rather than received.
He is survived by his wife, his father, two brothers and one sister and two half brothers. His mother and his youngest sister and one brother preceded him in death.
________________________Coordinator's note: These obituaries gives his year of birth as 1873 whereas his gravestone has 1874. His WWI draft registration has 1873 which is likely the correct year.
