DEVIN RAY UMBAUGH—ADEL / WINTERSET

Devin Ray Umbaugh, 16 of Adel / Winterset, Iowa, passed away, Sunday, August 25, 2013, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Devin would have been starting his junior year in high school. Devin was very active and social with many, many friends. Devin never met a stranger and his smile lit up a room. He liked to joke and tease everyone and could always make you smile and laugh. Devin also loved sports and played football, baseball, and soccer.

Devin is survived by his father, Josh Umbaugh and brother Xander of Winterset, his mother, Lisa Umbaugh and sister Kiersten Pryor of Adel. Grandparents include Eugene and Diana Umbaugh of Winterset, Teresa Umbaugh of Redfield, Dusty Morrison of Adel, and Ray Pryor II of Newton. Great Grandparents include Mary Bainter of Redfield, Teresa Willis of Waukee, and Ray and Marilyn Pryor Sr. of Des Moines, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Krystal.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2013, at the ADM High School. Friends may call after Noon Friday, August 30th at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel, where family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. After services, Devin will be cremated and a private burial at Harper Cemetery near Redfield will take place at a later date.
