Beatrice Creger, 86, of 405 S.W. Elm St., Ankeny, died of cancer Thursday at the Ankeny home of her great-nephew. The body was cremated, and a graveside memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Winterset Cemetery.

Mrs. Creger moved to Ankeny 12 years ago from Winterset, where she was born. She retired after 21 years as a librarian at the Winterset Library and was a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Winterset.

Survivors include a son, John, of Jefferson City, Mo.; and two grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa. Arrangements are being handled by Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home.
