Theodore Cassidy Collier, 90-year old McAlester Pioneer and prominent peace officer in the early days, died at his home at 513 East Grand avenue shortly after 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Mr. Collier had been ill for some time. A former Pittsburg County sheriff and McAlester Chief of Police. Mr. Collier came here from Fort Smith in 1896. Before holding the offices of police chief and sheriff, he had served as a U. S. Deputy Marshal. Mr. Collier was third sheriff of Pittsburg County.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Humphrey Chapel, with Dr. Lawrence Johnson of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Section of Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Collier was born at Winterset, Iowa on April 26, 1856. When nine years of age he was brought by his family to Fort Smith, Ark. On December 21, 1892, he was married to Alice Natilla Claunts at Greenwood, Ark. To this union, three sons and three daughters were born one of the latter dying in infancy.

Mr. Collier is survived by his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Roy Smith of Holdenville and Mrs. Herbert Almond of Tulsa; three sons, Dr. Carl C. Collier, Theodore B. Collier and Thurston E. Collier all of McAlester; one sister Mrs. Alice Grober of Fort Smith; one brother, Emmons Collier who lives west of the city; seven grandchildren, Mrs. Norman Robinson and Douglas Almond, both of Tulsa and Betsy Collier, Carl C. Collier Jr., Mary Alice Collier, William Theodore Collier and Rebecca Ann Collier, all of McAlester and one great-grandchild, Sharon Dianne Robinson of Tulsa.

Mr. Collier was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church. He became a member of the Masonic fraternity in January, 1893. He and Mrs. Collier celebrated their Golden wedding anniversary on December 21, 1942.
