Jon StJohn, 64, of Winterset, Iowa died Thursday, May 30, 2013 at his home.

Services for Jon will be private. Memorials may be made in his name to the Silver Eagle’s Motorcycle Club of California; 4688 Pomona Avenue, LaMesa, CA 91942.

Jon Frances Eugene StJohn was born December 23, 1948 in Newton, Iowa to Everett and Pauline (Rosenstiel) StJohn. He graduated from Algona High School then served in the United States Army during Vietnam.

Jon was married to Lynn L. Collins on November 26, 1987, in Las Vegas.

Jon worked construction all of his life and held various positions throughout his career. He worked for Fort Dodge Asphalt in Fort Dodge, IA and Hanson Aggregates in San Diego, CA. Most recently he was employed with Correll Construction of Des Moines where he worked as a safety coordinator and HR Director.

He was a lifetime member of the Silver Eagles Motorcycle Club and he loved riding his Harley. He also loved classic muscle cars.

Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Lynn StJohn of Winterset; his children, Jason StJohn of Columbus, GA (mother – Rosanna Smith); Jennifer (Eric) Taborski of Roscoe, IL; Dorinda (Scott) Matusz of Sufolk, VA; Kirk (Amy) Everhard of Clovis, MN. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Taylor StJohn; Paige and Wyatt Taborski; Hailey, Peyton and Timmy Matusz; Skyler and Ariana Everhard and his siblings, Debra Gatton, Linda Parcell and Robert StJohn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ricky and Wilbur StJohn.
