Nancy Caroline Harrell was born in Jackson county, Indiana, November 7, 1859. She came with her parents to Madison county, Iowa in the fall of 1871, and lived on the same farm in Scott township until her marriage to J. E. Rollstin, on November 29, 1883. Six children were born, five sons and one daughter, one son dying in infancy.
She was converted very early in her life and united with the M E. church of which she was a member at the time of her death.
After a residence of many years in Scott township, she, with her husband and family, moved to Hall county, Nebraska in 19--, where they lived on a farm until last March, and her health being poor, the family moved to Trumbull, Nebr., where she passed away June 23, 1910. She recovered from two operations for gall stones, but suffered intensely at times, and her last illness was of two weeks duration.
The funeral service was held at the M. E. church in Trumbull, June 25, and interment made in the Trumbull cemetery. The many beautiful floral offerings bore evidence of the esteem in which she was held by her friends. She is survived by her husband and five children, five sisters, and her mother, Mrs. Francis I. Harrell of Winterset.

_______________________Transcriber's note: Although the obituary says her middle name is "Caroline", numerous other sources, not the least of which being her tombstone, indicate that her middle name was "Adeline".
