Coral G. Lenze, 97, of Adel passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the Adel Acres in Adel. Funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, May 13th at the Johnson Family Funeral Home in Earlham. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Panther Creek Cemetery near Adel. Memorial contributions may be made to directed to Iowa Hospice or Adel Acres, in care of, Johnson Family Funeral Home, PO Box 171, Earlham, Iowa 50072. Coral Coffin Lenze was born May 19, 1915 at Adel, Iowa to James Melvin and Iva Hoye Coffin, in Dallas County where she lived most of her life.
September 30, 1933 she married Charles W. (Bill) Lenze at her parents home in Dallas County. To this union five children were born: Melvin, Billy, Charlotte, Connie and Curtis who passed away at 8 ½ years of age. Bill passed away in 1993.
Survivors are her children: Melvin (Ruby) Lenze of Adel; daughter-in-law: Sue Lenze of Earlham; son-in-law: Bob Crowl of Redfild; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband: Bill Lenze; children: Curtis Lenze, Charolotte Bond, Billy Lenze, Connie Crowl; two brothers: Edgar Coffin and J. Gordon Coffin; two sisters: Gertrude Kuehart and Dorothy Devilbiss; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
