Obituary:
Marjorie Marie (Fox) Snyder was born at the farm home of her parents, Lyal Walter and Anna Marie (Sillman) Fox near Britt, Iowa and passed from this life on Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Southern Hills Specialty Care Center in Osceola, Iowa at 88 years of age.

Marjorie attended country school in Arthel Township for 8 years and then high school in Britt. After graduation in 1942 she taught country school in Britt township for 3 years. She attended the Iowa Methodist School of nursing in Des Moines, graduating in 1948. She worked in surgery until her marriage to Bob Snyder in 1949. They lived in Des Moines until 1955 when they moved to a farm south of Truro in Clarke county Iowa where they raised their family.

Marjorie was active in the Truro Methodist Church, teaching Sunday School for many years. She worked at the Clarke County Hospital for 40 years, retiring in 1999. The last few years she was the operating room supervisor.

When not working and helping at church she enjoyed being outdoors. She always had a very large garden, she raised sheep and chickens. She was a member of the new Hope Circle and Methodist Women and enjoyed quilting.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Lyal and Anna Fox, brother Earl in 1938, son Gary Allen in 1987, grandson, Mike in 1996, a sister Imogene Schubert and her husband Richard in 2006, brother John Fox in 2010, brother-in-law, Chris Schulz.

She is survived by her husband Bob Snyder of Truro, IA, sons Gail Snyder of Blair, NE, Greg (Terri) Snyder of Loveland, CO, Gene (Patty) Snyder of Truro, IA, daughter-in-law, Kathy Snyder of Story City, Iowa; grandchildren, Ryan (Lori) Snyder of Truro, Nykki (Owen) Wendelin of Aberdeen, NC, Tim Snyder of Eugene, OR, Curt Snyder of Dover, DE, Jeff (Cassie) Snyder of Adel, IA, Tia and Tara Snyder of Truro, IA and Chad Snyder of Ft Collins, CO, great grandchildren, Caden and Karsen Wendelin, Chance (Josie) of Borger, TX, and Zach Snyder of Borger, TX, Kaylan Snyder, Hailey Snyder, Clayton and Bracken Snyder; great great grandchildren, Jake Snyder; sister, Carol Schulz of Corwith, IA and Doris (Earl) Schulz of Britt, IA as well as other family and many friends.

Memorials:
Directed to her family for a fitting tribute to be decided at a late date.

Visitation:
One hour prior to services on Wednesday.
