McKee Funeral Homes – Earlham, IowaCharles P. Price, son of James and Ada Libby Price, was born August 6, 1891 in Mahaska County, Iowa, and passed away November 19, 1978 at Veterans Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa at the age of 87.
His early life was spent on a farm and he attended a country school near Earlham. He served his country during World War I as a member of the Armed Forces. He returned to the farm after his military service.
On May 12, 1931, Charles was united in marriage to Eva McKibben. “Chuck” as he was known to his many friends, was a devoted husband who spent his later years caring for his wife. She preceded him in death in August 1971. They spent their life together in and around Earlham until 1964 when they moved to the Iowa Soldiers Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. In May of last year, Chuck became a resident of the Earlham Care Center.
Survivors include three nieces, four nephews and many other friends and relatives.
