Violet M. Anderson 83 passed away on Wednesday April 17, 2013 at the Altoona Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday April 22, 2013 at the New Testament Baptist Church 3020 E. 38th Street in Des Moines. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time Monday at the Church. Burial will be in the Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Violet worked for a number of years in Des Moines at the National Handcraft Company. She was a member of New Testament Baptist Church. Violet is survived by her husband Edward whom she married on May 18, 1953, two sisters Betty Lemon, Patricia Rigges, and a brother Art Brobst. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the New Testament Baptist Church.
