Marvin ‘Bud’ Douglas, 72, died Sunday, February 20, 2005 at VA Central Iowa Health Care System. Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 2005 at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Bud was born in Truro January 23, 1933 but spent most of his life in Des Moines. Bud worked for the US Postal Service and Road Builders as a truck driver. He also served in the Navy. He was a member of VFW and AMVETS. He also enjoyed fishing.
Bud is survived by his three sisters, Arlene Holman of Nikski, Alaska, Floy Hallman of Des Moines and Gloria Jean Clopton of Winterset; and a brother Larry Douglas of Des Moines.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sadie and Ancil Douglas, two brothers, Verlin and Darrell Douglas.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home.
