November 27, 1977 Section A pg 15Ancil R. Douglas, 75, of 1511 E. Twelfth St., died of a heart ailment Friday at his home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Burial will be at Union Chapel Cemetery near Patterson.
A native of St. Charles, Mr. Douglas lived in Des Moines 20 years. He retired from farming in 1970 and was recently working as a janitor at Visitation Catholic Church.
Survivors include four sons, Marvin and Larry, both of Des Moines, Verlin of Winterset and Darrell of Earlham; three daughters, Arlene Holman of Kenai, Alaska, Jean Clopton of Earlham and Floy Hallway of Des Moines; a brother, Orville of Des Moines; two sisters, Blanche Reyes of Altoona and Velma Berg of Denver, Colo.; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home today.
