Services for a former Des Moines resident, Mrs. Avis F. Heskett, 68, of Mason City, who died Friday of a stroke at a Mason City hospital; will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at McLaren’s Chapel, with burial at McGinnis Cemetery in Patterson.

Mrs. Heskett was a member of the First Christian Church of Mason City.

Survivors include her husband, Samuel; of Mason City; one son, Robert, living in Colorado; one daughter, Mrs. Shirley Sanders of Mason City; a brother, D. Talmadge Breman of Anita; and three grandchildren.
