Menomonee Falls, WI

Gary Lathrum, Born in Hanley, IA June 29, 1942 to Sam and Vivian (Gamble) Lathrum. Died in Menomonee Falls, WI March 13, 2013 of an aneurysm.

Survived by son Matthew Lathrum, stepsons (whom he always called his "sons") Quentin & Scott Morgan (Christine) their children Jade and Kai; brother Ed & Sherry (Chickering) Lathrum, niece Angie (Lathrum) & John Sour of Winterset IA. 

A graduate of Iowa State he was a Holiday Inn manager, opened Carrie Nation's cocktail lounge with then-wife Susan Lathrum, and later was an executive with the YMCA in Milwaukee. He enjoyed memories of bull riding in high school, driving an 18-wheeler during college and practicing auction calling for fun. 

Memorial services will be held in both Milwaukee and Winterset, IA sometime in June (details will be posted on www.schmidtandbartelt.com/obituaries at a future date.)
