Wayne “Beep” Weeter, 75, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at McLaren’s Chapel with a private family burial Thursday at St. Charles Cemetery.
Wayne was born in Murray, Iowa and was a lifelong resident of the Des Moines area. He was a book binder at R.R. Donnelley and Sons for 42 years retiring in 1992. He loved fishing and hunting and was a Chicago Cubs fan.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Donna of Johnston; two sons, Robert (Brenda) Weeter of Johnston and Britt (Kristin) Johnson of Altoona; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne Sr. and Jeanette (Purdy) Weeter and a daughter, Judy (Weeter) Cannon.
