Rose E. Walker, 94, of Fleur Heights Care Center died of a heart ailment there Tuesday. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Christ the King Catholic Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Church Cemetery in Cumming.

Mrs. Walker was born in Madison County and had lived in Des Moines most of her life. She was a retired operator with Answer Iowa and a member of her church’s Altar and Rosary Society.

She is survived by three sons, John D. of Truro, Richard of Des Moines and James of Windsor Heights; a sister, Catherine Morris of Winterset; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen R.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Southtown Funeral Home, where a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fleur Heights Care Center Activity Fund.
