Lawrence T. Dvorak, 89, of 313 S.E. Ninth St., Ankeny, died of pneumonia Thursday at Polk City Manor Care Center, 1002 N.W. 114th Ave., Polk City. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Ankeny, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Winterset Cemetery in Winterset.

Mr. Dvorak was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., and had lived in Kansas City, Mo., before moving to Ankeny 20 years ago. He entered the care center in 1998. He was a retired manager of engineering with Occidental Oil Co.

A sister, Anna Hahn of Ames, survives.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to his church. Hamilton’s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
