ROBERT "RIB" JURGENSEN, La Grande, OR

Robert (Rib) Jurgensen, 74, a long-time resident of the Adel-DeSoto-Winterset area passed away on March 4, 2013.

Bob (Rib) was most recently a resident of La Grande, Oregon and is survived by his wife of 34 years, Gracie Jurgensen of La Grande, his sister Louise Wells of La Grande, brother William (Katharine) Jurgensen of Winterset, sister Lucy (Herman) Clark of Altoona, and sister Patsy (Dennis) Radtke of Randolph, Wisconsin, as well as his children Randy (Elizabeth) Jurgensen of Des Moines, Darcie (Timothy) Holt of Blue Springs, Missouri, Rick Jurgensen of Kansas City, Missouri, and Chris (Dave) Haworth of the Portland, Oregon area, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sisters , Ida Mapes of Earlham, Irene Houghtaling of Indianola, Joan Brooker of Des Moines, and his brothers, Dan Jurgensen of Grand Island, Nebraska and Chuck Jurgensen of Earlham.

A Memorial gathering of family and friends will be held at New Hope Assembly of God Church, 6800 Townsend Avenue, in Urbandale, Iowa on March 30, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials in Robert's memory be mailed to 5500 NW 3rd Court, Des Moines, Iowa, 50313.
