Laura Silverise Dies Here at 73

Mrs. Laura Silverise, 73, of 1213 Emma Ave., died Monday of cancer at Mercy Hospital. She had been ill nine months.

She was born in Milo. She lived in Des Moines four years. Previously she lived at Cumming. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.

Mrs. Silverise is survived by a sister, Mrs. Bessie Greubel of Wausau, Wis.; two brothers, Charles and Loren Beeler of Des Moines; seven daughters, Mrs. Florence Mullenix, Mrs. Opal Cole, Mrs. Alberta Wadle and Mrs. Lillian Wilkinson, all of Des Moines, Mrs. Helen Lee of Lombard, Ill., Mrs. Lenora Butler of Fort Madison, and Mrs. Margaret Wiles of Campbell, Calif.; 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Christ the King Church. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at Dunn’s Southwest Ninth Funeral Home.
