Mrs. Frank Gracey Dies at 89 Years

Mrs. Frank Gracey of Truro died Monday, Nov. 15, at the Clarke county hospital in Osceola. She was 89 years of age.

Mrs. Gracey was a life-time resident of the Truro community. She was born there Sept. 17, 1876. She was the former Laura Susanna Izona Jones, daughter of Benton and Laura Foreman Jones. She was a member of the Christian church.

She was married Feb. 23, 1898, to Frank Gracey, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by three sons, Merril Gracey of Springville, Benton Gracey of Seattle, Wash., and Doyle Gracey of Truro; a daughter, Mrs. Pansy Goodrich of Woodburn; four sisters, Mrs. Hester Muselman of Osceola, Hazel Jones of Des Moines, Mrs. Ethyl Henthorne of California, and Mrs. Grace Gracey of Indianola; eight grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held last Thursday from the Congregational Christian church at Truro, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. James Nicholson. Burial was made in Ebenezer cemetery.
