Mrs. McKinzie Rites Thursday

Funeral services for Nina Pauline McKinzie of 713 West Washington St. in Winterset will be held this Thursday, April 23, at 1:30 p.m. from the local Grace Baptist Church.

Mrs. McKinzie died Monday, April 20 at Madison County Memorial Hospital. She was 73 years of age.

A daughter of Orville and Mabel Kivett Griswold, she was born at Macksburg on Feb. 20, 1908. She was a life-long resident of Madison County, and a member of Grace Baptist Church.

On March 1, 1929, she was married to Marion McKinzie. He preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 1975.

Mrs. McKinzie is survived by two sons, Kenneth of Champaign, Ill., and Raymond of San Jose, Calif.; a daughter, Norma Jean Slater of Adel; three brothers, Clarence and Carl, both of Orient, and Ralph of Pasadena, Calif.; two sisters, Nel Walter of Lenox, Iowa and Pearl Warnock of Des Moines; 12 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son and a grandson.

Officiating at the funeral this Thursday will be Pastor Ray ------. Burial will be at Moon Cemetery near Macksburg.
