Carl Porter Fatally Injured in Crash

Carl B. Porter of Minburn, former Winterset resident, died at a Des Moines hospital Tuesday evening of injuries received in a car accident last Saturday evening. His brother, Paul Porter of Adel, is in the hospital also with injuries received in the crash.

Mr. Porter was 56 years of age. He was born in Madison county, a son of Henry and Minnie Porter. For several years he operated a taxi service in Winterset.

He is survived by his mother. He also leaves two sisters, Berniece Porter and Mrs. Earl Thomas of Winterset; the brother Paul Porter of Adel; two daughters, Mrs. Earl Kordick of Aberdeen, S. Dak., and Mrs. Fred Rucker of Ontario, Calif., and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held this Friday at 2 p.m. from the Wilson Funeral home. Burial will be in Moon cemetery at Macksburg.
