Galagher, 63, Dies of Cancer

Thomas Gallagher, 63, of 1149 Nineteenth St., died of cancer Saturday at the Wickwire Nursing Home, 1714 Logan Ave. He had been ill two years.

He had lived here seven years and was last employed at Hotel Fort Des Moines. He lived in Long Beach, Cal., before moving to Des Moines.

The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday at Caldwell-Brien Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick’s in the Irish Settlement with burial at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Mary B. Hall, Des Moines, and Mrs. Catherine Gavin, Long Beach, Cal., and four brothers, William D., Des Moines, Michael D., Norwalk and James J. and Frank of Long Beach, Cal.
