Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 28, at 10:30 a.m. from Collins Funeral Home for William R. Cameron, 90, of Winterset, who died Sunday, June 25, 1978 at Villa West Care Center.
He was a retired heating and air conditioning engineer and an elder of the Presbyterian Church for 60 years.
Mr. Cameron was born July 21, 1887, at Pitzer, Iowa, the son of James Albert and Rachel Rebecca McCord Cameron. He was a resident here for seven years, moving from Kansas City, Mo.
The marriage of Mr. Cameron to Blanche Stewart took place August 10, 1911, in Macksburg, Iowa. She preceded her husband in death on February 13, 1976.
Survivors include his grand nephew, Raymond Light of Omaha; a brother, Arthur Cameron of Afton, Iowa; a sister, Nellie Cameron Ham of Winterset and three grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a brother, Walter, and one infant sister.
Officating at Wednesday’s services was Rev. Alan Parker. Burial was made at the Winterset Cemetery.
