Funeral services were held Saturday, May 27, at 11 a.m. for Millie Lola Harrell, 89, who died Wednesday May 24, 1978, at Norwalk Manor Care Center.

She was born October 10, 1888 in Madison County, the daughter of M. O. and Emma Akin Brady. She was a housewife, married to Edmund B. Harrell on September 21, 1910 in Madison County. He preceded her in death on May 15, 1944.

Survivors include two sons, Paul of Des Moines and Robert G. of San Clemente, Calif.; three daughters, Shirley Lowe of Des Moines, Margaret Eckardt of Knoxville and Maxine Smith of Silver Springs, Maryland; twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a sister, Eva Silverthorn of Winterset. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a brother, in addition to her husband.

Officiating at Saturday’s services from Collins Funeral Home was Rev. Byron Ayers of Winterset First United Methodist Church. Burial was made at the Winterset Cemetery.
