August "Sam" Huglin, 72, a native of St. Charles where he was born September 2, 1905, died Tuesday, November 22, 1977, at Madison County Memorial Hospital. He was the son of Charles and Sophia Schmidt Huglin.
Mr. Huglin was a farmer, a lifetime resident of this county. He graduated from Martensdale schools and then attended C. C. C. College in Des Moines. He was affiliated with the United Brethren congregation at Blair Chapel.
Survivors include a sister, Daisy Conway of Whittier, California, and two brothers, Andrew of Winchester, Virginia and Carl of Los Angeles, California.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, November 25 at 10 a.m. from Collins Funeral Home, Rev. David Livingston officiating.
Burial was made at the Blair Chapel Cemetery.
